OCWM – Our Churches Wider Mission believes in changing lives by raising our children in faith, by equipping our leaders for children’s and youth ministries, by fostering spiritual growth and discernment, by supporting clergy and spouses, by providing financing for new church starts and church buildings, and by nurturing partnerships with people and churches across the globe. Benevolence giving for August supports OCWM.

FEAST – The fall semester of St. Paul UCC FEAST program will begin on Wednesday, September 25th to December 11, 2019.  Pick up your FEAST applications at the back of the sanctuary or in the church office. Please register even if you will be unable to attend all the sessions. We have some great programs and activities planned this fall. If you have any questions please contact Tami Zwez at 419-738-2215.  

CHANCEL CHOIR – The chancel choir is still looking for new members. They practice on Wednesday nights at 7:30PM. Anyone interested is welcome to join.

NOISY OFFERING – September 22, October 27, November 24, and December 22 should be the next four Noisy Offering Sundays.  The first noisy offering raised $156 for Loaves and Fishes which was fabulous. Thank you all and let’s continue to make some noise.

MISSION COMMITTEE – Linda Bryan will be resigning as the mission committee chairman/secretary at the end of this year. We are looking for folks interested in being the chairman and or secretary. Please let the church office know if you are interested in taking on this role. It is not a hard role and Linda can help you get started. We are also interested in having more church members participate on the committee, so let us know if this is something you would like to try.


ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL – Mark Vaughn will once again be conducting a Sunday School class in the library, beginning at 9:00AM. It will have a similar format as last year, although we will be studying or viewing presentations by John Ortberg, entitled “Who Is This Man?” and Max Lucado, “The Story of Heaven” among other presentations…group discussion of the videos is also be  part of the class.  All are welcome!!!!!

COOKIES NEEDED – On Thursday, September 26th the American Red Cross will be here at St. Paul UCC.  We are in need of 25 dozen cookies for this event.  They request no peanut butter or nuts.  Please find a sign-up sheet in the breezeway.  The cookies need to be at church by 10:30 on that day.

SABBATICAL LUNCHEON AND PRESENTATION – You are invited to stay after 10:15 worship on Sunday, October 6 for a luncheon and slideshow presentation as Pastor Becky Sunday shares memories and photos from her sabbatical experience. Please sign up in the breezeway or contact the church office if you can attend. Lunch will be provided.
