Ryan Vaughn Receives Eagle Award

Ryan Vaughn received his Eagle Scout Award from Dr. George Herman and Troop 14 on Sunday, December 27, 2015.  The son of Laura and Mark Vaughn, all are members of the St. Paul United Church of Christ.  According to Dr. Herman Ryan is the 27th scout to achieve the Eagle rank in Troop 14, the troop sponsored by St. Paul UCC.  To the best of his knowledge Dr. Herman believe the first Eagle award for Troop 14 went to Neil Armstrong.

St. Paul’s Bell Choir

Despite the smiles in the picture above, the members of the bell choir were a little tense when Pastor Sunday took this picture minutes before the choir performed with the Lima Symphony Orchestra and Chorus.

The St. Paul’s Bell Choir performed with the Lima Symphony Orchestra on December 12, 2015.  The choir played Carole of the Bells and We Wish You A Merry Christmas with the symphony and performed a solo number Gloria Hodie.  The bell choir and chancel choir will be providing music for the 11:00 pm Christmas Eve Worship service.

Faith Promise Sunday November 22

Music rang from every corner of the church as the Bell Choir, the Chancel Choir and the Cherub choir performed for Faith Promise Sunday.  The children joined the adults in singing “This Little Light of Mine” as each child held a battery operated “votive candle”.  Pictured are the choirs practicing together prior to the service and then during the worship.  (Pictures Tom Shaw)

A Congregation of God’s People

The music flowed from every corner of the church as the Bell Choir, The Cherub Choir and the Chancel Choir provided music for Faith Promise Sunday, the day when members of the St. Paul congregation pledged their support for the church.  The children joined the Chancel Choir in singing “This Little Light of Mine”, each child holding a small votive (battery operated) candle.
